The F Type was on my list a couple of years ago. Tried a few of them and almost ended up going for the F Type S. It comes with the supercharged V6 and rear wheel drive. The standard F type has a little bit less horse power (340 in the base model and 380 in the S) but it did feel different when driving.
2003 Jaguar S-Type Hi!, i just joined this community to seek and seers and probably advice and help. So i just turned 18 a couple months ago, and i’m purchasing my very first own vehicle, which is a 2003 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 V6 with 80k miles (one owner, an old lady).
Of course, Ford-owned Jaguar was much better regarding overall reliability, with many Jaguar owners claiming that nixing Lucas fixed everything. However, some Jaguar owners on various social media sites like Reddit claim that Ford’s engines weren’t built the best, and the start of Ford’s ownership is when performance started to lag behind
Jaguar F-Type: $55,000 Audi R8: $65,000 to $85,000 Merc AMG: $75,000 Jaguar seems the best bang for the buck, but the Merc AMG would let me indulge my need for speed while also being able to haul the family around. Looking for thoughts from people who have owned or driven these cars and how they might compare.

There’s a great YouTube video that I used when buying my 2015 F-Type V8S by “Skrrt Garage” called reliability/buyers guide. He tells you what to look for. I would honestly buy it though. I love my convertible Jag and nothing beats that exhaust note. I use mine as a summer/weekend car. I wouldn’t recommend it as a daily/winter car.
F Type for that price you can surely buy a really nice 2016 and newer used one. Around 25 k miles and up depends on year,, type, and what all comes.. Things to consider brakes and tires every 3 years or so. Brakes 2000 for all 4 and tires 2000 too. Dealer is over priced for that. Oil change every 12k miles which is honestly not much 150 to 250.
Generally speaking the f-type is very reliable for a 550hp sports coupe, find one you like with a good service history and go from there. My advice would be to find one with no accident history if resale is important to you.
As far as reliability, no major repairs needed since he got it, and certainly no rust issues. If you're stuck choosing between an '09 and '10, go with the '10 because that's the year they introduced the 5.0 liter engine
Used Base Porsche 718 Cayman vs new 2021 Toyota Supra Premium. So I’m in the market for a weekend car and I had my eyes set on the base model 718 cayman between 2017-2019. I came across the new 2021 Supra and to my surprise the new ones are going for a fair deal under MSRP. My budget has been $45k-$52k with the higher range more for the cayman.
