Thanks so much to everyone on here for offering your advice! In answer to custard it was a rubber/plastic sort of pipe used. After calling a friend who used to work with cars, he suggested simply using an inline fuel filter where the pipe had been cut, and secure them down with a couple of clips - but the problem was that both the pipe to the engine and from the engine had been cut next to its a 55 spi. well im going to try connect another fuel pump and see if that works, if not then i presume its the not a broken pump, and the wiring, but 2 wires do get power, cos i used one of those light up screw drivers, its really confusing tho! cos it started first time and just just turns over, its obviously the fuel pump tho, cos it makes no noise what so ever, il try earthing it as dave Starter Relay Replacement Cost.
